    Oops

Mine are on 5" thick concrete as well. Asphalt would be a bit sketchy.

    Exhaust kit company suggestion

A couple years back, I needed to replace the entire exhaust on my Charger R/T. It was equipped with NOS exhaust that had been on there for 40 years. I looked at Accurate and Gardner's. Both comparable for my needs. Gardner won out on shipping costs. It is expensive to ship a Hemi H pipe.

    Hardwood floor questions

Since ours was a new custom build, there were no cabinets available when the flooring was installed. Made for a bit of an easy install of the flooring. The cabinets are custom as well, spec'd 2" higher than normal. That probably eliminated the potential issue you refer to.

    Hardwood floor questions

When we built our home 10+ years ago, we chose pre-finished hickory. Installed throughout the home with the exception of the master bath, laundry room and entry hall. Since we have dogs, hickory, being one of the hardest woods available was the choice for durability. It has stood up extremely...

Trying to get better braking out of my 67 GTX 11” drums

I started using DOT5 silicone fluid 40+ years ago, and haven't looked back. My Charger R/T has had the same silicone fluid in it for all of that time with no issues. I have it in my old Mopars, boat trailers (surge brakes) and will be fill my wife's TR6 system with DOT5 as I finish that up.

Can you have too many tools?

I still have my original "real" tool box from when I started at an auto glass and trim shop right out of high school (circa -'79). As my tools overwhelmed the box, I upgraded a few times over the years. A few years ago when one of my long time friends from out of town came to visit, he pulled...

    Who's got CO detectors

I have the "Building Code" combos on all three floors of our home, as well as two plug in CO detectors. One in the bedroom and one in the boiler room. Being a past victim (survivor?) of a mass CO poisoning a few years back, I take them very seriously. The incident I was involved in put 20-30...

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Lol Dave, Wife and I are doing the hospital tour to London everyday, so weather is a concern. No snow for us and did not encounter any until Wellington and 401 on the south side of London. Will see what today brings. Subie WRX goes through about anything unless it gets too deep. Then out comes...

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

That was my reply if someone asked for clarification. Decades ago I saw a bumper sticker on the rear of an Austin Mini, it asked "Why do Englishmen drink warm beer? Because they have Lucas refrigerators!"

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Worked on my wife's Triumph TR6 barn find. This will be my priority to have ready for spring. Nice simple vehicle to work on AND you can still get reasonable priced parts (compared to Mopars). I have come to appreciate why Englishmen drink warm beer though. Cheers.
