68 should be on the back of the block on the top with the top of the bell housing stamped ... I don’t recall ever seeing a pad there in 68. A/C lines could be routed better, looks nice.
It sounds like you need to learn how to drive this car without breaking it before you get too caught up in making it faster. You’ve smoked a 727, broken a diff, and several motor mounts. I don’t know if this car will live if you don’t learn how to keep it together. Just my thoughts.

I orderered a rebuild kit today. I’d rather make sure these things are working while I have easy access with the radiator, fan and water pump house out.
