What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

I'm at work, it's so cold outside that parts of a mans anatomy can freeze right off out there! No car work today!
Fleece lined jeans help a lot. It was 22 out and blowing the other day when I was plowing snow with my JD tractor and wasn't even cold even after 2hours of sitting. Well other than my eyes watering in the wind and trying to freeze...

Introduced our new member Matt @1969Rdrunner to the cost of Mopar parts... lol

My free dryer was delivered.
Today I had plans to change the main jets on my winter bike. But it is chilly outside and the rubber boots get quite hard.
So I will sit and think about that for a while.
2C for those that need to know. Just getting light here at 0745.

Finally finishing the other 2 areas of my garage. I'll be moving the woodshop into the upstairs and the 24x24 (where the Charger is) will be dedicated to restoration work "the dirty room".

Rockwool "safe n sound" acoustic insulation. Ran out of itch tolerance, still need to finish the spare bedroom and the kitchen tomorrow but I have to get some retainer wires, the kitchen joists are 16”(ish) on center and the insulation won't stay up with just friction because the spacing is too wide by like half an inch. Grrr.

Trying to cut the noise from the upstairs apartment into the downstairs apartment in my duplex. Didn't want to spend the $1700.00....but now's the time while the drywall is out, and it really DOES make a difference. Before, it sounded like the neighbors were in the room with me. Now, I can still hear heavy footsteps (material transmission - when the floor moves you still hear it), but talking, yelling/crying children, all that stuff...gone. Very pleased. The only wall I did is the wall for the entry stairs for upstairs - it's a bedroom so I wanted to do as much as I could. Again, while the drywall is out.

Only debate is...do I double up in the bedroom ceiling? I overbought (I can return unused) so I'll have more. It's designed for 2x4; floor (ceiling) joists are 2X8 so there's room...can't decide if the airspace and relaxed nature would work better, or if dense-packed would be better. The master bedroom is under the kitchen for upstairs. Kitchen has tile flooring so quieter already...I dunno. I'll see how much I have left.

And how sick I am of itching.

It’s cheaper to get ceiling grid tie wire and cut your retainer wire yourself so you can cut it to the length you need. A pair of electrical side cutters works good for cutting them. I had to do the same thing. Good luck. A Tyveck suit is also nice. Lol.

Good call on the tie wire, thanks!

Checking out a new arrival to my electronics lab. Another Tektronix 2430A oscilloscope which needs some work.

They don't make the rockwool faced, and it's the only product I could find (and I searched) with acoustic damping qualities. I don't need an R value, I need sound damping.

I finally finished welding and painting the parts to my K Frame dolly (don't zoom in on the welds, they are fugly). Hope to put it together tomorrow so I can start putting the front end together.
