90% of all restored cars are "suspect", IMO
riddle me this......... if a car has an engine with a different vin than the dash vin; why is this not an issue in the eyes of the "law"?
GM has it on the beloved LS that has always had issues. The Ford 7.3s & ecoboosts are self destructing too... Chrysler who really knows, Honda and Toyota and the others all have issues.. oil consumption and self destruction.. How many years have we’re building engines and what have we learned? KISS!
Agreed, good book.
The tricky part I think is to find the correct adjustment measurements for a specific TQ #.
For ex, I have the measurements for a Super quad and a 6545...but now I need them for an older type, the 6324.
A good bookm on the TQ which describes how it operates is Carter Carburetors by Dave Emanuel., S-A books, ISBN 0-931472--11-3.
I have had this book many years, not sure if it is still available.
Classic Industries. $371.99. Both say arriving soon, but you can call and ask about ship time. Links below

A 50 years old Carter Afb/Avs or Holley is easy, but...
Digging into a 50 years old TQ means that you will...
I only ever had scoops on two of my cars.... from the '80's.....
and from the '90's ....... until not that long ago........
Licence plates were the same on both - owned them since 1987. :)
I have not installed an aftermarket radio in years. The main reason is called CAN networks. all the modules in your car talk to each other over this network, has to do with diagnostics and modules exchanging information. Every module in your car including the radio is a node on the network...
A very well put together response.
I know on occasions I have clients ask if they woke me up or was I out running..... sometimes they are quite correct. I have trained one client to text me early in the morning and I will call back - he starts at 5:30am, and if there's a...
