Thanks everyone for the help. Shout out to everyone who said check wheels, specifically icetech who asked about wheel spacers….the culprit. If I was more competent at this I would’ve got it way back in comment #4

I do have disc brakes. Not factory, they are from Dr. Diff. It slows down when brakes are applied but doesn’t stop. I would think that would indicate issue at wheels or driveshaft?
Finally got a chance to get a video. Both axles spin but the driveshaft doesn’t move. If I just wiggle a wheel back and forth it seems to engage a bit but otherwise nothing.
For the record I have been following along with the jokes and thought they were pretty good. I have not had a chance to take any videos yet, but will post them when I can. I should’ve stated that earlier so nobody thought I was run off! I do appreciate the concern pedal2themetal. This forum can...
Hey guys,
Just ran to the gas station and I am hearing a new noise from my 63 Sport fury. Sounds like it is coming from the drivers side rear. It goes away under acceleration, but when I coast it clunks. I didn't see anything just looking under the car. I'm thinking driveshaft or axle...
I am struggling with the speedo housing on my 63 Sport Fury. The transmission is a T10 four speed. I ordered a speedometer housing for it (Threw a bunch of old parts away like an idiot). It is bullet shaped and nowhere near big enough to seal. The opening on the trans looks like it should...
I ordered new door bumpers from Detroit Muscle for my 63 Sport Fury. Got them today but I can’t tell where they go! I don’t think the old ones were present when I started working on the car. Can anyone tell me where these things go?
If I remember correctly the casting on the block said my poly is a 1966 so not the original in the photo in this car. So at some point ( if this is the same engine) it was put in the ‘55 in the photo. unfortunately my dad passed away 9 years ago and my grandparents have been gone for decades so...
My mom sent me this photo of a car she thinks the Poly 318 came out of that is now in my 63 Sport Fury. I can’t tell from the photo what car it is. The badge looks like it might say Belvedere?? Can anyone tell me what car this is?
Hello everyone,
I am getting ready to install (have someone install) my windshield on my 63 Sport Fury. Do I need to install the trim clips first? My guess is trim clips in, then the gasket/windshield, and then the trim? I think I have the correct clips-
Am I missing anything?
Thanks!
