I deleted my post after realizing they were in fact only riveted at the strut bar location. The rest was welded. But I guess I should have included that in the post. However I see nothing wrong with adding the plates.
Are the engine mounts forward of the block tabs or behind the block tabs?
This picture they are behind the tabs which is the way its supposed to be.
Not real sure if its even possible to mount them in front of the tabs but I guess anything is possible.

Youtube is a great source for these cars. There are plenty of videos on there. You can look up Junkerup on Youtube he does pretty good detailed videos on different things. But there are many more videos out there with great information.

Ford actually produced 1300 or so of these cars. I understand that its just a Torino but a limited production car is just that. Kind of like a Hemi 4 speed Challenger convertible. Not many made which brings the value up.
You have drop offs left and right. floor pan between the drop offs and inner and outer wheel wells then quarter panels all sitting on top of the rear frame rails.

There used to be one running around my area it was very rough but it was one of the ones put out by ford. I'm sure its still around here I just haven't seen it in a while.

I will tell you not to buy one from amazon... The one I got from there broke and stripped out the gear. I would suggest getting a name brand one. This one is pricey but good quality.
