Not to get off track here, but when I built my 70 Road Runner I spent a lot of time wiring and installing the fuel injection, A/C Bluetooth stereo, higher amp alternator, etc. In my car, I tried to make it look as (reasonably) stock as possible. In the 10 years I have been driving my car, it...

You oil the parts after doing the black oxide process. After the oxide absorbs the oil you wipe off the excess, but they really don’t feel oily if that’s what you’re asking.

Thanks Hawk. I'm trying to make it as neat as possible. Next up will be mounting the battery box in the trunk & running the #1 wire. Waiting for a friend to make up a bracket to mount a battery kill switch onto.

I remember the 640 KB ram...I had an Atari ST and upgraded the 512 KB to 2.5 mb, for $70. The PC guys were amazed at how much memory I had. And that I had a wireless mouse in 1991 as well. I used to spend hours every night on the local bulletin boards back then.

I wire brushed everything on a bench grinder because that’s what I had. After wire brushing the parts were soaked in acetone to degrease. Pics from Back in the Day

Back in the day, you did what you could afford. I had slots on the back on my Dart, and factory wheel covers on the front! Some of my buddies had to get what was available and they could afford - so that sometimes led to different style mag wheels on the front vs. the back. Not great by today's...
