Since I'm not getting any feedback in the engine/trans section, does anyone have any experience with the Pushbutton shifter conversion from ImperialServices? Looking for feedback on how it works and pics.
You might be better off contacting A&A Transmissions since they are a distributor for ImperialServices plus ImperialServices doesn’t seem focused on customer service.
ImperialServices is hit or miss. I waited 3 years (No Joke) to finally get the conversion kit.Out of spite I continued to call asking when will we get it. Never used it but quickly sold it to another member. It may be different now.
During that time we installed a 67 column that I got from Wild...
ImperialServices has a program where you send in your PB unit to be converted to a 66 on style trans. Anyone have any experience with this? Photos etc?
If the same guy is running ImperialServices as four to five years ago, Don't deal with him! Use a vendor who has the item in stock. Many have lost money to that guy. I was lucky enough to have used PayPal and they got my money back. You've been warned.
I looked at the conversion by ImperialServices awhile back for a possible project car. It was around $600.00 a couple of years ago for the pushbutton type. They may have the trans mount too. Doing the column swap or aftermarket floor shifter may be less dough and easier. My 65 had the console...
Yes I have gone thru this many times with Steve.
I waited 3 years for one of his conversions for a 65 column cable shift. Finally got it WAY after I needed it.
Placed at least 2 dozen phone calls and as many e-mails.
Best part I thought we were friends..... Knew him well back in the early...
...'64.
Different bolt pattern than the 4-speed IIRC.
That stuff isn't falling out of the trees, but has little value if you find it.
Not sure who does conversion stuff; used to be ImperialServices, but I think they quit or went under; I thought someone else was selling their products, but...
Yes Sir, I got a conversion kit from ImperialServices and it works slick. So, yeah the original shifter works with the mighty '67 727.
I think you are the only person to point this out.
..........I don't know who's running ImperialServices now days but it was ran by one of the biggest rip off artist of all times. Beware! Better off contacting Joe Suchy
I have had 3 or 4 purchases from Imperialservices (Promerican) in the last year or two. Steve Charette has been great for...
CK, check ImperialServices. They have listings for the various models, and engine variations. I think they are the only source for the shift cables ?

$229 plus shipping. Beats the price of a trans rebuild. Replaced the seal at the trans now I cant seem to get the adjustment right no matter what i do.
Imperialservices makes the shift & park cables for our cars and many other things. Been around for years...

I prefer #Three with an ohms meter on the safety neutral switch.

...for my '63 Dodge 330. The original has been misplaced, and need another, OE part#2290-461. It seems the cables available from ImperialServices have listings for 1962-3, and 1964-5. Does anyone know if the ends of these cables differ, as I am using a '65 cable shifted 727, while my dash hook...
I’ve got a new speedometer cable that I bought from Joe Suchy a couple of years ago. I’d like $130 for it and I could drop it off at Mike’s if the car is still there and you wouldn’t need to pay for it until we’re sure it fits. Joe’s by the way are made by ImperialServices.
