    Flat Towing Question

Want to flat tow (4 wheels on the ground with tow bar) a car that has power steering. Will the front wheels of the towed car follow when turning a corner? Or will the power steering have too much resistance to turning? Anyone done this?

Changing center section and now axles are touching...

Is your Posi made in two pieces and bolted together like the one in my pic, or is it all one piece?

Changing center section and now axles are touching...

Couldn't leave you hanging. Went to garage and took another pic. If you have a Spicer SureGrip you should see this. If you can't see pin hole it could be filled with gunk.

Changing center section and now axles are touching...

I assumed you have a early Spicer SureGrip Posi. If yours looks like this pic my instructions are correct. Look in thru the side gears(where the axle slides in) you should see a button about 3/4" diameter with about a 1/8" hole in the center. That is where the pin is.

Changing center section and now axles are touching...

The "steel plate" you are referring to is actually made up of two pieces with a small diameter hole thru both. They are held together with a small rolled pin. Drive the pin out to remove them. (the pin runs parallel with the axles)

    8 3/4 Center Section

I have a 8 3/4 rear center section casting # 1634985. It accepts a 1 3/4" pinion bearing and has the letter "N" on the left side. I'm thinking "N" for nodular iron. Can anyone confirm this?
