    383 lifter question

Unfortunately I just changed the oil a couple of days ago, not sure much of anything would show up now in an oil analysis.

    Installing 440 lifters

If the lifters are mushroomed you can use a piece of PVC pipe with a hole cut into it, send the PVC down the came tunnel and push the lifters into the PVC and catch them. This is done with the cam out. Works great if you can't pull them out through the top.

Thermoforming a CUSTOM WINDSHIELD for a chopped 1955 Mercury - FULL PROCESS from start to finish

So are the canopies for fighter aircraft. That still doesn’t mean you should use it for a windshield !! I suspect the likelyhood of a stone chip at an altitude of ten feet or more is a lot less likely !!! Acrylic has a higher natural UV tolerance. That may be one reason they use it in the...

Thermoforming a CUSTOM WINDSHIELD for a chopped 1955 Mercury - FULL PROCESS from start to finish

Polycarbonate is very tough to form. There is a lot of moisture in polycarbonate that creates bubbles if it’s not heated slowly for a long period of time to get it to dry out.

    Lakewood bellhousing clutch fork/spring issue

It looks like the bracket is to wide and possibly binding on the web of the fork. Where is the return spring attached? If you take the rod off does the spring pull it of the fingers?

What's it Worth 68 coronet rt convertible

For sure it could be driven as is after it's been given a mechanical inspection and necessary repairs completed. It has no exhaust at present other than head pipes. My concern is what's underneath ?. I did look at the underside and it's lathered with heavy grease. Appears to have been applied...

    Lakewood bellhousing clutch fork/spring issue

What doesnt look right exactly? The bracket I made corrected the bracket on the lakewood bell that had the ballstud way out of whack, I made a jig on the stock bell that I then transfered to the lakewood to make the bracket and locate the ball stud in the same location. Pedal returns fine...

Have the oil in it analyzed first, looking for metal. I'd do that before pulling the intake.

what size fan belts for my a/c alternator pulley

Pulley wise it should be a 3 inch. If its 2 1/2 its to small. Alternator is not original by that picture. So it may have the wrong pulley. If its working ok and you need more adjustment just find shorter belts.

what size fan belts for my a/c alternator pulley

Thanks for the advice guys. The car is 250 miles away so I don't have any great photos. I should have done what ARG67GTX and moved the alternator to where it should have been. The alternator appears to be the original unit. Maybe the pulley has been changed. These pics are ones I took years...
