Our 2022 Grand Cherokee has this, too. Annoying. At least it has the disable button (which has to be pushed at every start-up, as mentioned in the original post). The 2021 Chevy Traverse I have for work doesn't have a disable button.

I can’t say what your problem is, but with my Lakewood setup, the clutch fork pivot was too far from the centerline. I tried a couple of different pivots but ended up making a custom pivot.
