    Lakewood bellhousing clutch fork/spring issue

I believe @pnora is referring to the pivot possibly being too wide for the fork. Pull off the fork spring. Verify the pivot is in the fork relief radius. Do the fork tips contact the release bearing pads fully? (post 5) The fork should swing freely on the pivot and pretty much stay where...

'70 Charger - Thoughts on installing Fuel Line Check Valve to help reducing starting turns

No specs from Amazon, what a surprise. Looks like 1/4" pipe thread. If your fuel bowl vents correctly, it shouldn't siphon back to the tank. Fuel pumps have their own valves, so if the pump isn't the issue, it may just be the 10% ethanol in the gas nowadays, unless you don't have that in...

'70 Charger - Thoughts on installing Fuel Line Check Valve to help reducing starting turns

Check valve will do nothing for your situation. You could fill the bowls before starting. You also could install an inline electric pump that you manually activate to prime the carb when starting.

what size fan belts for my a/c alternator pulley

I have 63.5” belts on my car but it has a round back alternator and I think yours may have a square back one. The adjustment bolt holes may be located differently in the cases. My pulley may be an oddball as it measures 2.7” dia. My adjusting bolt is in the wrong hole I believe. It seems...

performer rpm intake install on rb 440 valley pan gasket?

Just my $0.02…just did this on my stock 383 to fix an oil leak. Was confused by all the gaskets and o-rings, so talked to a local Mopar engine builder who said use Permatex “The Right Stuff” around ports on heads, no gasket then set the valley pan. Then no gasket between intake manifold and...
