For the 71/72 Charger hideaway setup, there was a black plastic piece that went around the light area so when the hideaways opened, you couldn’t see the structure behind. Ive been searching for what this part is called and where it is available.

As a side query, does the one on the 68-70 hideaways work on m third gen? I might have a source for those years. Thank you for any information.

I can't say I ever saw covers on the concealed head lights only on the back of the plastic standard grilles... Those won't fit with-out serious modification.

I've had four 72 SEs in my life and I've never had what is being referenced. Body manual doesn't show anything like a shroud/cover behind the door

The only year what got a trim to hide the headlights mount was the 68, which will match also on 69s with a small finish mod (blacking out the vertical fins), but still only 68 deal

Thank you all for the feedback. Seems that my friend with a 72 must have customized it. Unfortunately, the car is no longer around to get pics.

If someone made them I would buy a few sets! I like them on the 68 Chargers. A 3D printer would make short work out of them!

Maybe making a 3D printing of the doors with the holes for the headlights. Of course a diff. model for 71 and 72

If the original poster wants to cover the headlight mount. He could try 71-2 Plymouth shields and change the stainless headlight rings to the ones with the tabs.
