    1969 Bee’s winter work.

Set the gear back together with some super glue. Push it level into some clay. Mix up some 2 part 5 minute epoxy, or JB Weld Plastic Mender and fill the mold, give it a swipe level to take away excess and let it cure.

'70 Charger - Thoughts on installing Fuel Line Check Valve to help reducing starting turns

Holy Toledo, after lubricating the choke linkages and let sit for an hour, heard ignition on the second turn and it started on the 3 crank in February!!!! Wow I can't believe it. Normally I'm struggling in the winter. I noticed my air cleaner is really dirty too. Thanks guys!!! I...

    Who Likes Aircraft ?

The first operational jet for the U.S. Army Air Force was the P-80 Shooting Star, but that wasn't the first jet that they had. Before that, there was the Bell P-59 Airacomet. First flying in October 1942, orders for 100 aircraft were received. Due to very little knowledge in the USA at the...

    16” wheels on b body?

Not sure if I would like 17's if they weren't period correct for say a 66 Belvedere. Back then, slots were kinda popular but not many had aftermarket wheels around here during the mid 60's. I had baby moons on mine in early 69 and still don't remember many having aftermarket by then even but...

    Thermoquad fast idle loss.

Edelbrock AVS2 or a Holley Street Demon could work for a replacement. Street demon has a similiar look to the TQ, but is not a thermoquad. Thermoquad is a excellent carb dialed in. Time you do the linkage and choke changes you may have the TQ figured out. Here is a link to a TQ to Street demon...

    Reasonable upgrades for cruisers

Thanks. I’m 60 and have owned and driven a few over the years. I had the firm feel box in my 67RT and it was half *** but nothing special. Lots of changes available since then, 20ish years ago.

'70 Charger - Thoughts on installing Fuel Line Check Valve to help reducing starting turns

Except that he says it's worse in the winter than in the summer. Everything I read here suggest a choke adjustment should be looked into. Also, read up on factory winter starting procedures for the time period. You can improve how the choke is set and carb primed in cold weather by following...

'70 Charger - Thoughts on installing Fuel Line Check Valve to help reducing starting turns

Thank you very much - makes sense. By the way, to clarify, I understand that the check valve will not prevent the carb bowls from going dry. What the Youtube video meant is that a check valve would help you start your car with less cranks if your fuel fully drains back to your fuel tank and...

    70 Hemi Superbird Restoration..................errr.....scratch that........

I’m really undecided as to whether or not I like the chin spoiler. It’ll look much better when it’s trimmed up and painted black.

    1969 Bee’s winter work.

Broken gear goes under black disk. Bronze gear is for adjusting the time. Wonder if this can be fixed cheaper than a new $300 tic toc tach.
