the absolute best for a Street/Strip compromise car! However, on the
other hand - they are probably among the most expensive.
However...
Valid point - location can play a big part, especially elevation. Where I live at sea level I have no issues. Don't need a choke, even in winter, and haven't had any hot starting issues even at 100 degree plus, but heat plus elevation would be a bad combo I'm sure.

Using the ohmmeter to adjust will work. But ultimately it may not give you perfect cable adjustment. I've raced push button stuff since the 90's. The adjustment is crutial when you race them.

69 roadrunner 383 3 sp automatic, daily driver, runs and drives smooth, no it's never been restored.
It’s worth $300-$500. Look at E bay. They aren’t giving them away. $200 shown above was 5 years ago. I would hang on to it if you ever plan on reusing it.
I always run rags completely thru the housing and clean all the old lube
out entirely on everything. Especially, if there are any metal chips or debris whatsoever.
