Have a friend that poured motor oil all over the outside, and engine compartment of his 69 GTX convertible (did not oil top) he bought new when he parked it outside in 71. Sat that way for years (he said it looked like a wooly mammoth from all the crap that collected on it). He cleaned it all up...
It's a PITA. I went to the hardware store and got 4-6 1/8" thick plastic washers, then cut a side on each a bit to make a "D" shape for the angle brackets. Had to drill those. Hard to get the factory faceplate to line up. I custom made a rear bracket for the back to help with the weight...
Please read couple of recent threads about where you must source accesories on ammeter equipped cars, and what does happen about the parallel wire bypassing the ammeter. Both started by 72RoadRunnerGTX, based on HARD discussions about these topics since ever
The factory/line that was shut down, was in Ohio IIRC
probably using Canadian/Ontario parts suppliers, we don't make anything anymore
especially not in Detroit
maybe have some built in Mexico probably with Chinese parts,
that's marked as Made in Mexico too

Short story - talked to Dan at Brewers and he feels confident the retaining spring on the clutch fork is worn/bad, he said it should hold the fork to it and mine does not, see photo below of fork on stock bell with stock pivot with bellhousing sitting face down on a table. New fork is on order...
Whenever I hear the name Voodoo, this guy comes to mind. My old biker buddy, and great friend for life, Voodoo. He’s a Mopar lover too!
Wishes for good luck on your great new project. Slow and steady wins the race!
You're in the UK so, you also need a big block transmission to mate to the 400 with matching torq convertor, trans Kick down linkage, the big block brackets for power steering pump, alternator radiator etc.
What we used to do 30 years ago was find a rusty big Chrysler and just pull everything...
With the old "Classic" series gone, no more single cabs. Everybody must settle for a 4 door, whether they like it or not. Were the "Classic" series Rams only made in Mexico?
What are you guys talking about rewiring the car? Mine has the original 66 wiring still. I took my ignition power sense from the positive side of the coil, since I bypassed the ballast resistor, and ran the pcm power and grounds to the battery directly. This is probably my 20th Holley install...
Thanks for all the welcoming replies! Awesome to see folks that are close and others internationally. The love for this era of cars is wide felt for sure!
Hi Doug.
Cam is a 31-2177. Total duration 253. This is the Edelbrock Performer cam that they suggested. Made by Comp Cams.
I have the 41-1507 lifters and the cam gears and chain.
Edelbrock said use 5877 for non rotate, and 5977 for rotating.
With a note that said do not use dual springs which is...
Agrre with everything you said, but they are not sequential if you are meaning compund, they are twins, each boosting 3 cyl. In a car It'd be bmw cool, but not dodge cool, imho, so I agree, bug V8 for me.
