thanks for the replies and suggestions. Im restoring to the factory high end so be nice to know what Chrysler put the resonators on for sure. Of course Chrysler seemed to do nothing consistent back in the muscle days, but hoping someone will know for sure what resonators were required on.
Does anyone know for definite if all 6 Pack 440's had resonators ? Or were they only mandatory on California and Canadian built cars. I have a Lynch Road built 71 Charger I'm restoring and there are lots of conflicting views on wether resonators were on the car or not. Of course my car was...
I am looking for the original 440 engine for my 71 Charger R/T. I would be very Grateful if you could please have a look at your 440 if it is not original to your car. The last three serial number digits were cold chiseled off the block. All that remains along the oil pan rail is A1 139 - - -...

Yes, I do have the complete serial number but the last 3 digits were chiseled off the pan rail on the block. It would be easy to recognize the block with the first part of the VIN still on the pan rail, A1 139 - - -

Unique Block Missing. Last seen in Seattle Washington, in a collectors garage around the early 2000's. The 440 block is missing the last three digits - they were cold chiseled off. All that remains along the pan rail is A1 139--- Casting date is probably between May and August time frame. Cars...
Hey Guys Im looking for a 1971 A/C Suction hose for a 440. Im restoring a GTX and want to get an original or date correct hose if I can. Part number is 3441525
Hey Guys. I have a 1971 440 intake manifold, part number 3512501, but no manufacturing date. Is there an explanation for this? All the intakes I have had in the past for 1971 have had manufacturing dates on them. Where the date should be on the manifold is a pentastar and a triangle but no date...
That pic is from Calgary International Race City from a few years ago. Our city has since closed the track as new houses are being built there. Pays more taxes than car guys trying to pass the sport along to the next generation and keep them outta trouble. Typical city move

Hi MoparMur I use that name because I am an avid shipwreck scuba diver. I have dived on shipwrecks in many places and have a great love for WW2 wrecks and obviously muscle cars too!!
