67 Charger - Tailights not working

I had the same problem. I ran dedicated ground wires to each have of the tail light housings to be sure, because of the fresh paint. I do that on all cars anyway, but it turned out to be the resistance wire in the left side of the trunk.

A8HP70 transmission crossmember for 1965 dodge

I believe all of the aftermarket items are set up for 66-70, so the bolt pattern is different. Easy to remedy, re-drill the outer holes. You're Qa1 front will re-position the engine to the 66-70 specs, so that will help you. I'd think you could install this, then the other holley stuff would...

71-72 b-body street cars...what are you running for tire/wheel sizes

Just wondering what the combo's are for a 72 gtx. Going with steel mopar rallye wheels. I was leaning towards 15x6 in the front, 15x7 rear. In other body styles, I've run a 235/60 up front, or a 225/70. Rears 255/60 or 275/60. Whatcha running?

Reading a 67 fender tag date code

As 68jim said, no blocks were cast in 67. Supposedly, 10/31/66 was the last 1966 batch cast, then not cast again until 4/68. 340 T/A blocks were the same, only one or two casting dates. So, with that said, a late 66 block would be correct for all 67 cars.

    Trouble with our 727.

You need to shop around. It sounds like you are able to pull and re-install, so taking a 727 to someone should be much cheaper anyway. 3 grand is crazy for a non-race 727 rebuild. If you do get it rebuilt, replace the convertor(remanufactured) and flush the cooling lines! Take time to adjust...

    Which DBW pedal to use?

I've been using the Jegs equivalent, more than likely made by Lokar, but half price. These come in regular braided also. Today is the last day of the this sale, so use the code at the top of the page. Oh hell....I sound like an infomercial! JEGS 157034: Transmission Kickdown Cable Kit...

Big block hydraulic roller cam/lifter choices

Well, I haven't picked out heads yet. 15 years ago, I would have picked up a set of cnc ported edelbrocks. Today, no cnc edelbrocks to be found, but many other choices. Because of the stroke, it leaves me needing a large cc volume dish piston, and a larger cc volume chambered head. I don't...

Big block hydraulic roller cam/lifter choices

Well, this build is for a good friend. He's older, not going to want to lash valves. But I agree, a nice solid roller would be great for most applications like this.

    Which DBW pedal to use?

Found it! Part number is in there too if needed. This is mock-up in my 67 charger, so floor pan and bracket should be the same. Kickdown options (besides full manual valve body) for Drive by Wire

    Which DBW pedal to use?

The holley pedal is a mopar LX/LC pedal, so challenger/charger/300. Its the same part number that comes with the mopar kits. It will bolt in, just need new holes. I believe i had to shim the bottom left bolt out with a 1/4 inch spacer. If you are using a 727 or 518, bolt it right over top...

    426 Gen III in 1964 Dodge 330

Wise info from 70chall440. I don't think you will find a kit for the 62-65 cars. Like you said, they target the 66-70 crowd. Bolting in the QA1 k-frame is easy(direct bolt-in), and allows the use of the rest of the 66-70 items. It moves the engine back a little, allowing for more cooling...

Big block hydraulic roller cam/lifter choices

Bullit/Ultradyne, Comp, Trick flow, Howards ??? Same for lifters? This is the beginning stages for .030 over RB, 4.25 stroke, dish Diamond piston. Will end up around 10.5 comp, depending on my head choice. I'm going to need a large open chamber to make up for the stroker volume, even with a...
