440 block oil pick up tube threads

anything you want is available, you can make the tube shorter if you need, trim and run a die on , add a few threads ? If you'd leave it 1/2" it would work just fine as well ! Main concern is to know what went wrong in the first place

    65 Satellite 440/318 swap

Strut bars are just like the rest of the front suspension, they have rubber bushings that go bad @ the front in K-Frame, while looking around checking control arms and steering linkage etc. Take a look, when worn the lower control arm starts rocking forward/backward - good luck with your ride...

440 block oil pick up tube threads

Yes, lube - go slow - rags/magnets/vac - inspect block carefully before going through the work to be sure there isn't any cracks - 2nd Option I would consider is Epoxy thread repair which I've used with sloppy fits before, just be clean ! If you go with a 1/2" drill & tap you can use a bushing...

I got the tool mentioned above(I believe it is what he's referring to) off Snap-on - loads into air hammer and has an arm on the side to rotate and you can use any bit or socket you need ! Just hold pressure inward and rotate as you vibrate with caution ⚠️ , try not to bend your panel /...

would you guys ever buy a car that had been sandblasted?

It gets in places you didn't know existed - all you can do is exercise your air compressor, drill 1/2" holes for rustproofing plugs to help in tough spots ! Run a good vacuum while running wands or pcs of rubber hose blowing air into corners etc. You don't want it laying and holding any...

Front cylinders not firing when cold

#1 - I would put a KV meter on plug wires @ plug end - sounds like weak spark, fuel is soaking plug until it gets heat to help #2 determine if wires or plug is issue as stated earlier, check gap - move a wire to see if issue moves with it - if your box & dist ( reluctor - cap - rotor , all of...
