To avoid inspection I’ll run an Antique tag but PA does have “66 HP2” plate available. Would be pretty cool. Guess I should focus on getting it road worthy first …

I ask more to check the accuracy of Mecum’s posted description. Given the clarification here it’s correct. For it would be worth anyway I would take exception if the current block was not factually correct an HP2. I understand now. Just checking those guys. :elmer: 426 CI Hemi HP2 V-8 engine

I think he means "HP2" car badging.... that said, we've already determined that the engine is not original to the car, as it was built / cast in 1966 not 1965.

Ok. So the HP2 is just badging for cars built up to around Dec ‘65? I think that’s what I was mixing up?

    Rod journal scratch

It is going in a 68 Charger 4 speed street car. Very basic build. L2266 TRW Pistons with rebuilt '67 915 HP heads with stock valves sizes/ports, maybe 9.25:1 compression, .484 Mopar purple camshaft, HP exhaust manifolds. Would be surprised if it will be over 375-400 horsepower at the crank...
