I agree but there's so much it's almost ridiculous. On the trunk dropoffs it's so thick as if it was done for decades which I believe it was. Not fresh by any means.

X2. A phone and a wallet. There are a lot of things that can go wrong with a car and a trunk full of tools, jacks and tires aren't going to fix them all.
Im sure you have but, one more thing is trace or follow your tail pipe routing.
Make sure they do not contact any part of the car except the hangers.
Also make sure all hangers are tight at the mounting point and insulated/rubber hung.
