Though cleaning a converter is never a bad idea. I doubt that a clutch failure put enough debris in the converter to cause an issue. All fluid coming out of the converter exits the front cooler line. If you are worried? Place the rear cooler line in a bucket. Run the car in Neutral (not Park)...
