As for the pump faces. Are you refering to the inner gears, stator support, and pump hosing bore? Common wear will be some nicks/small grooves in the mating faces of the gears. The upper and lower sides of the pump may have some light scratching. I've never seen gears with too much clearance...
It has been years since I drove a diaphragm clutch but they have a lighter pedal feel and resistance. Easier to depress and the return spring is not needed by design.
Just guessing from memory here, but the biggest engine offered for the 4dr was the 361/383, and possibly a 413 ? Bottom end was the Slant-6. With the higher options, the torsion bars, and leaf springs would have been upgraded, similar to newer models, along with the brake diameter's, and shoe...
