Our track has had a JR Dragster class probably for 16 years. We were NHRA when we started it. It is a member owned track.

selling 16 new variable rate lifters for 383-440. there like the one Hughes Engines sells. I got them a few years back from AMS racing. $ 110.00 plus shipping.
The bolts will have a shoulder on them. An ordinary bolt won’t do. I imagine they would be the same as 67, most likely the same for several years. I have a few of them that I could spare, if you can’t locate some nearby.

At this point I would drill it to the size needed to retap the hole. Drill it a little at a time until the tapered tip is loose and get it out of the hole. Thread the hole and get a replacement screw.
Dang, I’ve been running Holleys for a long time…. Does that mixture screw have a “pointed nose” and stick into a precision hole or something??? I’m guessing it’s a precision screw/hole. If yes, I don’t think your idea would work. Maybe try a top quality EZ out and go nuts with the torch? What...
I was able to determine my wire lever nuts were just bad. I swapped them out for a different set of wire nuts and that did the trick for everything except the antenna. That still wants to be unplugged and plugged back in to work. I'm going to install a switch that I think will solve that...
