You could try creating a small divot or ledge with a Dremel cutter in the face of the screw. I have a 1/8" diameter carbide ball that I'm thinking might work. Do it at the 9 or 10:00 position. Clamp the body of the carb to a bench. Heat the body around the screw with a small butane torch. Using...
Thanks for clarifying that.
I was more familiar with 66.
I do know, in 67. the 383 hood ornaments had a black background for 2 barrel cars and a red background for 4 barrel cars.
Hell of a needle to thread, but I've seen it done.
Several years ago, I bought one of these-

$158 with free shipping.
Not that exact brand, but same Idea.
Mine was a prototype and was $100.
Makes it WAY easier. Slides...
Thanks mike, I just changed out the Lucus SAE 30 I used to break in a 440. Did not see a non detergent listing on the label. Listing on the jug states 'NOT legal for street use', I assume that's because of the extra zinc added that must accede some federal regulations now. I left it in there...
Few people will know the difference, and those that do will likely think it's cool. Those that want to nitpick about it being incorrect for the year:
It's your car - do what makes you happy!
My brothers car it was originally a 383-2 barrell.
It never had commando emblems just the 383 hood ornament.
I've never heard the term "parchment" as a seat cover color.
Are they pearl white?
Age 13 on Sundays, my friend and I both had older brothers by 5 years and they would come home drunk on Saturday night and we go through their cars on Sunday mornings. Being drunk they wouldn't remember and we'd take any cigarettes, joints, liquor or beer and money. We'd get a buzz then a pizza.
This is the best spot. You have to be careful to keep the location forward of the gasket suface. I tap it for 1/8" pipe. That way fluid doesn't sling from the output shaft rotation. You can do it in the tail shaft. Just make sure the catch can is up on the firewall so it drains back. In the...
Thinking of adding this 73 rallye hood to my 74. I know it's not correct for my 74 and might catch some flack for it but I am running a Ed rpm air gap on a 360 and it fits barely without a carb spacer. I tried a 1/2" and it rubs the insulation. A one inch would be ideal to balance out the flow...
Price is $800 OBO and i have the HyperSpark Installation Tool for the distributor on order should have it this weekend or early next week. only thing you will need to make this work is a fuel pump and a O2 bung.
Just another bit of commentary to expand on this...
You could loosen the strap and rotate the motor and headlamp bucket which would indeed change relationship of the adjust screw on the inner side of the buckets unto the limit switches. The motors MUST be firmly contained in the mounting...
#1- no such thing as "matching numbers" on a 67 engine.
#2- those "383 Four Barrel" emblems are not correct, they are Dodge only in 67.
It should have "Commando V8" emblems if it is a big block car, although I'm not sure if 383 2 barrel cars got that in 67)
Do you have the VIN?
Should be...
