He is claiming a TH350 with a stock converter (not sure if I believe this). 1st in a TH350 is 2.52:1 vs 2.66:1 in the A833. I'm hoping for a tame enough cam to help with starting...
Looking for advise on max tire and wheel size. have a 68 GTX with RMS Coil overs front and rear with wilwood brake kit. Rear of car has USCT mini tubs installed. Im thinking of going 18in rims in front and 19 in rims in rear but open to suggestions. Anyone running same setup with tire and wheel...

When I bought my house , the propane tank in the yard was owned by Amerigas .
I came home late one evening and could see the gas leaking out of the pressure gauge . From the top of the tank it slowly rolled down the side where it met the electric fence that was arcing onot the tall weds covered...
Congratulations. Very cool. One of mine has had some air time. Once in a commercial, and once on the news. They were recording us cruisin out on Woodward.
yes at a higher rpm you lose lift but at low and mid lift you need to minus the lash off the lift of a solid lifter cam. solid 500 lift minus 15-20 for valve lash = 480 - 485 lift and that is for a tight lash cam.
Fantastic idea and I thought of that based on you mentioning it before IIRC, but won't the internal pressure by the two pumps try to pry that bad boy out?
I guess a flange bracket of some sought could be bolted on where the original retainer bolt for the speedo goes in order to keep the freeze...
More lift makes slightly more duration, and potentially significantly more flow, IF the heads can support more flow at more lift. Factory 906 head flow tended to stall at high lifts, limiting the benefits of 1.6 rockers or hi lift cams. I always found it interesting that a lot of old school...
The manual steering shaft is definitely longer than a power steering shaft. By how much i don't know. The only time I have done this swap, I had a power steering column also.
I am removing the OEM manual steering gear box and installing a OEM power steering box in my 67 GTX with a floor mounted manual transmission. Does the steering shaft need to be shortened and drilled for this swap? I'm using the OEM coupling also.
