LED bulbs for a Charger Rallye dash

Looking for any feedback on replacing the factory bulbs in my '73 Charger Rallye dash with the LED (BA9s) version. Has anyone done this? If so what brand did you use? Are they dimmable? Are you satisfied with the brighter look?

Pinion Yokes - What to Use

Turn signal, lever and column shifter lever restoration

Completely forgot about steel wool option. I’ll also be jumping on some aluminum trim as well as the tail panel, would the 0000 steel wool be a good option for aluminum as well?

So… in 2025, what’s the best electronic ignition conversion?

Yes they do. You can use any non-solid core wires that you like. It's "HEI" only in the sense that the electronics are housed inside the cap. But it's not one of those square GM styles, it's a Mopar style small cap distributor. After initial setup you set your timing curve from your phone app...

My dad, god rest his soul, drove nothing but Oldsmobiles his entire life. My memory recalls a '55, 2 57's, 2 59's. One of the '59's served as his pickup. With a trunk big enough to haul two folding saw horses and 5 gallon buckets full of tools of a sheetrockers' trade. The other '59 was a...

I don't understand how mammals survive such cold temperatures.

We went Prairie Chicken hunting once in the extreme cold. We looked like artic explorers with clumps of ice on our eyelashes and frozen snot. I was in downtown Monument, CO. (Our little town.)this afternoon and had to wait as eight does casually walked across the street. Lots of bears and lions...

Pinion Yokes - What to Use

If your buying a new driveshaft made go 7290 on driveshaft and use a combination u-joint 7290/7260 to mate to rear yoke. If change HP you'll have a strong driveshaft.

So… in 2025, what’s the best electronic ignition conversion?

One of the easiest would be Pertronix 1. The Avatar photo is of my 65 472 Hemi Belvedere. I used theirs in it and many other cars over 20 years. Good for 7,000 rpm. Easy 2 wire install. Works for me ! I even used them in my race cars. You didn't say what the main use of the car is.

Dropped center link from Mancini or 440 Source. Where is it made?

Many moons ago, I had an aftermarket BB oil pan interference issue on my '65 Coronet. I took the original center link out, cleaned all of the paint and dirt off and added another piece to the bottom, welding both sides a couple of inches in from the curves. I don't recall if I heated and bent...

Turn signal, lever and column shifter lever restoration

You could place a wanted ad in the wtb section. How bad is the rust? themechanic is right. Sometimes 0000 steel wool and polish can make a rusty piece look fairly decent. I have a chrome auto shift handle that looked pretty bad. 0000 steel wool with some wd40 as lube made it look decent. Of...

Most shop owners had Oldsmobiles back in the 70's. Great cars till they started putting Chev motors in them.
