Gen 2 Hemi, heat riser or no heat riser in manifolds?

Well, yes, it's going to run different until it gets up to driving temperature. It will be a little on the lean side.

    440 with 8 bolt crank 4speed to 727 ? How do I do it

Pictures are a little tough to see, but it looks like a "Dakota" roller bearing was pressed into the hub. This was a common fix for cranks that were not finished for a standard .940 pilot bushing. Pull the whole assembly out, and the converter hub will fit.

    440 with 8 bolt crank 4speed to 727 ? How do I do it

I posted on your other thread. Just take the pilot bearing out of the crank. What is all the gray stuff smeared around the bolt heads? I hope thats not ARP thread lube. If it is take it apart and clean it all off. I use Loctite.

    Dads 68 charger!

Starting to come together! I had to burn a patch in the torsion support. The AMD stuff fits nicely. You have to cut and modify to get a good fit. And you can never have enough vice grips doing this stuff! I’ll fit the hood, fenders, valance, and whatever I can to make sure it’s right.

    440 with 8 bolt crank 4speed to 727 ? How do I do it

I can't see what's going on in your picture, the resolution is too low. You may need to pull out a pilot bearing to make room for the torque converter snout.

Do they make 8 bolt crank flex plates for 727 big block torque converters with the 11 inch 11 1/8 size hole diameters?

Remove all that stuff that is in the center of the crankshaft, and the torque converter snout will fit in there.

For Sale: Not Mine 1969 Belvedere wagon RR $39.900 Not mine

Too bad they took it to a dealer. Would probably be a lot more attractive price if they didn't get the used car guys involved. Really neat car though.

    440 with 8 bolt crank 4speed to 727 ? How do I do it

I mean where the 727 mounts onto the crankshaft. The hole looks like it’s for a 4speed is there anyway to change that or does it come that way? I have the correct flexplate right now. I’m just wondering if there’s a way to make it fit or if I’d have to replace the crank shaft? Or just remove...

    440 with 8 bolt crank 4speed to 727 ? How do I do it

Looks like our 440 was built for a 4speed. Wondering if there’s a way to change this to make a 727 fit or if I would need to swap out the entire crankshaft? Let me know. Thanks
