    disc brake caliper/spindle swap

I haven't had any experience with that combo. Whatever you do, make sure there is no rubbing or twist in the hose through all points of suspension travel and steering.

I hope that was the trick. I have had to shorten ARP converter bolts because they were bottoming out.

    Air cleaner delete 71 318?

Any port that has vacuum on the carb AND on the intake manifold needs to be plugged or connected. If not it'll be sucking air and that's a vacuum leak which will make it run like crap. If you don't know where they go just plug them first.

Upsize the charging circuitry to handle whatever amount of amperage you will be sending to that battery. Mike

All good moves and yes, we adapt to new ways. When in Rome, do as the Roman's do. I don't care who's driving.

    Air cleaner delete 71 318?

Thanks! I'm rebuilding the carb right now (there are no cheapie replacement for the 2168 model online). The two ports you just mentioned were the other 2 I was trying to figure out the purpose of so that helps alot.

    426 Hemi information

I guess I shouldn't say that I have no idea what a good Street Hemi block would cost. In the last 2 years I've seen 2 of those new Street Hemi short blocks that Gratiot Auto was selling for $795 in 1976. Those 2 were 1969 casting dates. They were around $25,000 each. And one of them was only 60...

Can a High Volume oil pump suck the floor up?

In the words of a very smart guy, John Kasse. If there is a line of sight between the crankshaft and the oil pickup you are going to have a problem. Doug

Been paying attention to the stock market again.....

Old money has been there a long time. I kept my investments in IRA's low, tax liabilities. Money from flips is a different story. That cash, SS from both of us, small pension and cd's is all I need. The rest of it is of no use to me. I live a simple life now, nothing like when I was in the fast...

    Why do men like gun/cars?

They allow me to challenge myself - guns, cars, and motorcycles. And archery (been doing that since I was 9). Faster lap times. Better apexes. Smoother shifting. Better running condition (maintenance/tuneup). Better groupings. Faster recovery between rounds. I enjoy the mechanical art. I...

Does anybody still do AC line reconditioning?

Check out Cold Hose in Ocala Florida. Just had them redo one of the metal lines on my Cuda. The don't make new metal lines, but can repair and reconfigure your existing line(s). Nice work, and good communication. They're not "quick" but worth the time IMO. Dave Cold Hose
