Welding observations that I have made....

Like this stuff? I made 4 turning plates for at home front end alignments and had a section left over. The nephew and I used a piece for the floorpan of this: It didn't produce any weird vapors but did leave a weird chalky residue near the welds.

Low Profile Intake on 440 in 1966 Coronet

I thought the point of refacing a lifter is so it can marry to a new cam. What am I not understanding?

    Lightweight car batteries

I ordered this: It measures the same as the battery I have in this: But slightly bigger than what I've had in the red car for a few years.

Low Profile Intake on 440 in 1966 Coronet

Look for any indication of a wear mark straight across the face. That indicates it wasn't turning in the lifter bore like it's supposed to (HAS to). Put the lifter on a pane of glass. It should wobble slightly, because the face has a radius. No wobble, no use. There have been many instances of...

    Burnout in D, 1 or 2

Me too. Had to have fast feet back in the day. Couldn't afford a $50 line loc back then. Probably $200 these days.

    Burnout in D, 1 or 2

I learned to do a burnout with a stick, and no line lock, in the seventies. Put it in the water, gas to about five grand, second (or third) gear, let the clutch up fast, and move the left foot to the brake, hold lightly. Step off the brake, let it roll out of the water, kick in the clutch...

Chargers for sale by crack addicts

I saw that on kijiji a few weeks ago (shocker, it hasn’t sold yet). And I think that is the longest description I’ve ever seen for any car! That ad should be up for a while.

    StuBBle has left the field.

Thanks man. A couple more patches, now that the frame is on it for support, and I will be able to test fit it on the car. I think the holes for the hood pins are wrong, but that is another bridge! It's taking me a while, but having this hood is so gonna make the car for me. They just look so cool.

Been paying attention to the stock market again.....

87% of the market is owned by 10% of the population. It's always mostly driven by "big money people", not at just recently or at any particular date or time.
