GoFundMe fundraiser for long time member Nacho and his Mom

Thanks for updating the group. Unfortunately the funds raised by now are still not enough but just a small help. Hoping this won’t take long, but who knows.

    Adding a circuit

A period correct similar to this? Wouldn’t be bad, althought that’s more 80s than 60/70s LOL Don’t worry I was joking, I got your idea. IMHO, I’d preffer to keep the stock location with a vintage look stereo system than get it hanging out from somewhere. But at each own

    Fender tag decoding

The reason I'd assumed it was special ordered was because of the options that are on it, like the sundance interior some of the options in the A08 Package without being coded for the A08 Package itself, I looked in the catalog and you couldn't order a car like mine in the Satellite Sebring...

    Stamped lifter clearance

0.001" is a bit tight. Rub the side of the hold down clamps for a little more clearance.

    Anyone into 3D printing?

Online resources are definitely the way to go, but also I say just jump in and do it. You can start crude and refine your skills from there, at least for me jumping in the deep end for that kind of stuff has usually worked out. Designing on tinkercad.com is free, whatever you design you download...

66 Satellite - going from power steering to manual

It tracks very straight. The steering just feels sloppy. Bushings are all good. Just has a weird deal. My brother even commented on it and he builds drag cars. The wheel just kinda rocks back and forth. Hard to explain and may not be getting it across correctly.

    Anyone into 3D printing?

Having now read the book that I mentioned in a previous post, I can't really say that I would recommend it. It's too sparsely written and I'll be looking for a more detailed instruction book. There are quite a few online sources and sites with downloadable programs though, and here are some of...

66 Satellite - going from power steering to manual

I would not switch a PS car to manual but a manual B body is not that bad. Maybe it’s different with the Falcons, but I’m way past 25 and not all that strong and I don’t have a problem effort wise, the slower ratio is a little annoying though.

    Stamped lifter clearance

The designed in clearance is in the lifters with stamped steel rockers and stock pushrods for a 383. You shouldn't need to be grinding on anything. There again, please elaborate.

    Stamped lifter clearance

I would like to see more clearance between them than that for me. Maybe .005 on stamped rockers I would guess. There should be a spec somewhere that would give you a definitive answer.

    Fender tag decoding

...at the St. Louis plant will, most likely, have a letter at the beginning at the VON and carry a Y39 code on the tag. (see attached. 999 paint, V08 trim Waiver. J VON and Y39 code) There is no coding on your tag that indicates Special Order. The 1***** VON would indicate a typical Ordered car.

I’ll try that if I don’t have any luck here. Maybe he can give that drawing that is on the site that I can’t read. Or maybe someone here has it.

    Sun Roof Question

The power sunroof cars did. Those were added by American Sunroof off assembly line. And I thought the manual sunroof cars didn't have to have vinyl tops and were installed on the Chrysler assembly lines. Are the manual sunroof cars a much different design mechanicals?

    Flooring choice for rental

No carpet - ever! - and the bathroom fixtures and tile are WHITE. Want color in the bathroom? Paint. Easy to change with trends compared to the tile and fixtures. Upstairs unit: White tile, charcoal grout, and currently navy blue paint. I'm leaning towards natural wood tones as well. Just...

I know there's a thread somewhere about members that ya don't see anymore.....

In my youth in Brooklyn, we would play "Johnny on the Pony" where we would leap onto another kid and try to break his back.

    Flooring choice for rental

Oh in that case, I would go with natural wood like an oak color, or cherry if I wanted a more formal look. Both of those are timeless and will age well and not look bad 25 years from now. Unlike shag carpet and avocado green bathroom fixtures.
