We have a board member that rebuilds them and has cores. You could swap in a factory type one with ease for peace of mind and save this one as a known good spare. There are kits to up the amps if you need more juice than stock.

Yeah, it is a heavy one to think of. I've wondered which is worse....to be the first to go or the last. The last guy does live the longest but sees everyone he ever knew to fade away. This leaves him with nobody to share his memories. Back to the fun....

My mom's birthday today too. Sam was killed just a few miles (5?) from my house by a drunk juvenile on the wrong side of the road (AZ95). Kid got a light slap on the wrist. Sam's wife of a couple weeks was with him, she survived.

I retired in November 2022. Even when I was working, I has projects going on. I have no kids to look after. I am fortunate to have a very cool wife that never complains about the multiple car projects.
