Make sure the hose you buy is rated for trans oil cooling. Fuel line may be the same size but is not rated for the pressure and temperature unless verified by the manufacture of the hose.
I think so. The cap bottoms out on the tip. I can tap around the flange of the cap, get it flushed up on the rotor on one side, tap the opposing side down and it just rocks over the tip giving me gaposis on the opposing side. Just had a thought and I'll need to find them to verify, but the caps...
Got the scoop secured today. The area where the rear seat goes, you can see the hooks for it, is where I plan on taking out the two 2" round sleeves and making up a couple of oval ones to put in. With the butt portion of the seat in, plus there is some sort of vertical panel just in front of it...
Get it going and drive it. Nothing wrong with more doors plus you can do many, it not most, of the upgrades the 2's get. My wagon is going to get some of the same upgrades that I've done on my 65 500. Just not as extensive.
Same issue on my 67 wagon. The PO ordered the disc conversion from the Doc. There is about a 1/4", unthreaded portion at the tip of the spindle that keeps the caps from fully seating. When I go to put the 11.75" rotors on, 10.75" currently, I'll lop off that tip with a cutoff wheel.
Looks like pin style calipers. 70- E/B and many other mid to large cars. D39 style pads. A body calipers, slider style from 73-, use D84 series pads. So say a Raybestos PGD39M would be a number to use or crossover from.
Figure out what the system is based off of, pin or slider type Mopar caliper or GM based, and get some semi metallic pads. The packages are supplied with the cheapest ones to keep the price point down. However they're pads in name only. Thats what my wagon had. Noisey, didn't work worth a hoot.
-67 uses the bayonet bolt style idler arm. 68-uses an idler arm thats mounted in double shear[ a bolt flange on both sides of the arm]. -69 has a sway bar that mounts in front of the K. 70- the sway bar goes through the K and the lower control arm sway bar link pads are in a different spot than -69.
And as I've recently found out when I went to use my un-opened tubes of sealer, a little over a year old, most was junk. I was able to get some out of the 2nd tube to do the small area on the VW, but will need more down the road. Same with the Eastwood inner frame spray I use as my primer for...
