For two to go at the same time it is not a coincidence. The same reason would have caused both failures.
I wonder if the cams lobes had a little bit of taper ground on them causing the lifter to try and rotate and overloading the tie bars?
There should be no real rotating force that the tie bar...
There was a whole lot of diecast NHRA rails and funny cars which I didn't know much about so I just picked the Matco one. Seemed fancy. I might list them for sale.

I think they both went within 10 minutes of each other. Went I first heard the noise I thought it was a header gasket. Not going to lie. Then about 3 minutes later when I got in to town it backfired and I think that’s when the second one went. I was only a couple minutes from home at the time.
Thanks for the response, koosh. JEGS states "Fits select" cars but does not state what "select" means. Also says "See Fitment Tab for all applications" but they have that tab pretty well hidden. I can't find it. I'm really confused about this subject since there are all kinds of speedo...
