I found an F440 HP block on FBMP, it was so cheap, I thought it was a scam. I'm used to parts gougers trying to get top dollar out of junk. I got the block for 450! Only issue was it was in TX. I was planning on going back to Arkansas to get some other parts anyway, so another 8 hours and I'd...
Sorry, my thinking was screwed up. You are correct.
A 4-stroke, 4 cylinder engine fires twice per revolution. Just once. Each cylinder will move the crank 1/4 of a turn. this assumes a 4 stroke gas engine
Seems like as many of these things I have done, that I would have known. Getting old is...
We can do more math if you like.
1/20.833 = 0.048 seconds or 48 milliseconds between firing (2 rotations).
Now for argument sake say your timing is 36 degrees BTDC and you move it 2 degrees (either way)
So firstly 36 degrees is 36/720 degrees (2 rotations) = 1/20 of 48 millleseconds which is...
The repos are crap, they are hard as biscuits
I had ordered a pair for my Satellite and my coachbuilder broke them two just by applying on the body and putting the nuts on
So I had to find another pair of used ones that were much more solid
Years ago I pulled the dash cluster out a bit to change the bulbs. Once all the bulbs were replaced, I pushed the cluster back in but didn't screw it back in. Turned on the lights and went to turn on the key and everything went nuts. After scratching my head a bit, I screwed it in and everything...
I have been getting drop outs and error messages off and on for the last few weeks. The issue only lasts a min. or two and I'm right back in action. The error messages check the servers and the error is on the site's end and not mine. (if all that info is correct)
I found a few burnt spark plug boots so I installed a new set of wires. The straight boots made a few plugs a bit difficult, especially #3. But, not a lot of selection for HEI-style wires for Mopar big blocks.
About 1961 my father saw an accident where an older couple in a Pre-War Buick was spun around. All 4 doors opened up and they and their groceries ended up on the street. He came home that night all freaked out and had mom take our '57 Plymouth wagon to Sears for seat belts the next day! The best...
My place kept me busy too with cutting/chopping/stacking firewood, mowing and rolling grass. Started getting involved with airplanes a lot of years ago until I found out how expensive they were and didn't make enough to sustain that. Wasn't real heavy into cars (had done an engine swap though)...
