I hadn't really heard of any complaints regarding Hydroboost until now, I'll definitely take this into consideration. I vacuum canister is starting to sound a lot more appealing lol.
So it's not like losing vacuum to a booster where you can still bring it to a stop or are you saying losing both at the same time was the real problem? Hadn't thought about that but yes, losing power brakes and still being able to steer makes it less scary.
I'm in the middle of doing some much needed upgrades to the Charger focusing mostly on handling, one issue is the brakes. My motor produces 15 pounds of vacuum which is enough for my vacuum booster 99% of the time but in certain deceleration situations I have zero boost which will pucker your...
Figured I'd share a few pictures.
Doug's headers are pretty much identical to Hooker Super Comps for ground clearance, the collectors being significantly shorter however might be a huge benefit? The Hookers fit great but had some really annoying bends that trapped bolts, made certain plugs hard...
I'm running behind on updates. The metalwork on the rear bumper is done other than some massaging and the car has been stripped down to a shell and mounted on the rotteseri.
Unfortunately the next order of business is getting the ceiling insulated in the resto Bay and getting this car moved...
Very productive weekend, the Satty is stripped and I've got an absolute mess to clean up! Test fitted the brakes, finished welding and grinding the bumper, pulled the drive train, suspension and just about everything else.
The daughter boyfriend stepped in to help this time, he owns a 1973...
Not everyone has a custom header shop nearby to have the headers fitted too, I don't. I'd be really surprised if they could build a set that cheap for a B Body, takes a lot more work to fit them in a B Body than a Jeep. Jeep looks very cool, nice.
I've been on a long hiatus and just recently started posting again so it was a bit of a surprise, I don't feel like I've contributed much lately but thank you to whoever you are?
Rest assured, in my absence I've continued to drive the Charger putting thousands of miles on it which I credit...
The part I was concerned about is showing promise, the corners. Took a few to get the 1/8" plates bent to match but I'm pretty happy, a little more hammering and it's ready to be fully welded, smooth out and set aside as another part done. This is being done with zero mods to the body just in...
The Charger is an incredible weird deal and yes I first went to Crutchfield and others. The factory stereo has wiring routed through it that ties into the heater, vehicle info screen, etc. The installation kit for it includes new heater controls plus a harness but mounts the screen down in front...
