Project Brown Eyed Girl.. and her 72 Satty.

Not a ton of progress yesterday but I figured if I could weasel it into the other bay and onto the lift without going outside (-temps and ice) that alone would be progress. Game plan.. finish the rear bumper mods, weld up a new transmission cross member then it's complete tear down, onto the rotisserie and moved into the dedicated resto shop for stripping and rust repairs.

Darn good looking welds also. You guys stay warm!!

Instead of ordering headers for the Charger I decided to make a run to Summit to scourer the scratch and dent department and found a rear disc conversion kit for project brown eyed girl... $784.99 for $220! I was thinking about putting an 8 3/4 in it until I checked and found that it has a limited slip 9 1/4 in it already.. had I not checked a few days ago I would have passed on it. Yay

A guy came to buy her original rear bumper today, we had discussed some other possible trades so I ended up getting 2 rally clusters and a manual steering column in exchange for some new rear tail light lenses. He's also selling me a set of nice bucket seats for $200, the parts list is dwindling fast and on the cheap.

The part I was concerned about is showing promise, the corners. Took a few to get the 1/8" plates bent to match but I'm pretty happy, a little more hammering and it's ready to be fully welded, smooth out and set aside as another part done. This is being done with zero mods to the body just in case she ever has to replace the bumper..
