My car weighs 3900# and is a 4 speed and runs 11.50 no problems
Finally put some lettering on the car looking more like a 60s super stocker all the time my guy did a good job making it match the patina! oh and a little family cruise in it the other morning!
All that does is register the wheel it shouldn't help or keep it from sheering the stud off i would go to the 5/8 drive studs and the just drill the rims to fit then it will all be stronger and centered!
I have been beating on this combo all summer and it is finally coming around to what i think its potential is. Had a few set backs along the way it was twisting the 8 3/4 housing(gaining 5* pinion angle every race) so i built a custom one for it myself as i want to be able to swap gears easily...
The M/T radial is a good tire and they are more then likely faster then a slick (most radials are)
what kind of air pressure do you run and what kind of burn out do you do a drag radial doesn't require a large burn out to build heat and to much can make the tire greasy I had a 275/60/15 on a car...
