Did a swap in my 74 Satellite from the 318 to a mild 383. Now I'm hooking everything back up to find the 383 is still points. What are my options ?

I have set a BB 383 in my 74 Satellite. Starting to reconnect wiring and the 383 is still a points system and the Salletellite is wired electronic ignition. The mechanics around here keep saying it can still be wired in , but I'm not trusting. The 383 is mildly modified does not need high end...

I just swapped my 74 Satellite from a 318 to to a 383 today the Schumacher motor mounts is the way to go! Not sure on the Charger but my Satellite has a small block K frame

I am swapping out the 318 and 904 in a 74 Satellite to a 383 and 727 I will have to have the driveshaft cut down correct?

I have a1968 383 we are putting in my Satellite . What doses the LL stand for under the casting #'s ?

This tranny has a short tail shaft not like the 727 or the 904 it was supposedly out of a motor home with a 440 I have not torn it open but where do I find the markings to identify

I'm new to the engine swaps on B bodies can anyone tell me the oil pan I will need the correct engine mounts and should I toss the 518 trans and go 727. I'm going from a 318 to a 383 in a 74 Sebring Plus
