    A518 A618 transmission pan on a A727?

Has anyone used the A518, A618, transmission pan on a A727, if so do you like it? also does it hang low (my Coronet is lowered in the front) does it drag? and lastly they say you don't need a trans filter extension with this pan on a A727 I'm worried that under acceleration or hard turns the...

    A518 Ribbed Design Transmission Pan

Does anyone know if the new style A518 Ribbed trans pan will fit my 1969 Coronet w/383? I know it will bolt up, but will I need to buy an extension for the filter pick up? Also will the pan hang too low (my dodge is lower 1 inch in the front). Or any other recommendations for a perpetually...

Am I OCD to keep the old master cyl cap?

I'm a purist all the way, lol... but I would say save the old master cylinder in a box for future rebuild/use when you go to concourse restore the car. (aren't we all?) but the dual MC is far safer for everyday driving and stopping (a very important part, lol) :)

Torque Specs? How to torque properly?

I have a few torque wrenches, foot lbs.(big and small), and the old bar or beam style, a degree wheel, and am in the market for an inch lbs. torque wrench....a lot of people will say just tighten it "until it feels right" and hardly ever use a torque wrench, the best mechanics I know use a...

    annoying click/clunk behind dash

I had a sound like a click behind my 69 Coronet dash, it turned out to be the leads (posts) on the back of my Amp gauge had melted/shorted out against the metal backing of the Amp gauge. very glad I found it. I could only imagine what would have happened if I had not! I would recommend checking...

    Master cylinder paint?

So this next day off I'm going to replace the master cylinder my 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 with a factory big block 383, and manual drum brakes. The previously Master cylinder lasted about 14 years which is pretty good, however it rusted over with in the first week that I had it on the car. It...

    leaking 727?!

Anyone have any ideas on how to keep my 727 from marking its spot? Its been a constant battle with my 69 Coronet (fac. 383 w/727). I have used both cork and "reusable" rubber. I have checked the mounting flange on the trans, GTG no nicks and is straight. I suspect the Pan as I have had to...

    Best oil pan seal???

As a young guy I once replaced the rear main seal in my 1969, 383 Coronet w/727. Once done I jumped into the Dodge cranked it up and proudly looked under the car to view my handy work......only to find a growing puddle of 10W-30 under it?! Yes, you guessed it, a $3.00 oil pressure sending unit...

    TCI Transmission and Converters A727.

Years ago I rebuilt a Ford AOD transmission with the TCI "Street Fighter" rebuild kit for my then owed 1990 5.0L LX Mustang (yes I used the F word sorry. Lol) I had no problems, it worked well and I was hard on that poor thing, however mine was a street driven car with very low power!

    273 front engine Dragster?

For a few years now I've been gathering parts for a Front engine dragster I want to build, I would like to build it to "as raced" in the early 1960's. If you have seen Tommy Ivo's twin engine dragster that's the rollbar style I'm looking to do, (might only be allowed to run exhibition??) So...
