Just replace all of the wires and connection... Ron Francis has the best retrofit out there.... Then use relays on all Tue switches to reduce switch load... And then you're basically where I'm at in the wires... Also I use tinned marine wire when I can and heat shrink soddered connection...
The old timers had issues with brake hoses... Replace them and flush a gallon of fluid through the system a quart per wheel to get particles out and any air
Its a sign of weak leaf springs replace them then do the shims ***new u bolts**** a four wheel alignment also make sure the engine and trans mounts are poly helps and aligned...
I build them loose so that I don't have pistons getting tight at highntemps... But they make a lot of racket cold... Its a good idea to pull the oil pan every oil change to look for broken skirts... So they don't plug up the pick up ... A few broken ones won't hurt anything... Rember its a full...
Probably doesn't need the help of a bunch of degenerate shut ins who haven't turned wrenches in 40 years ...

ok I know hat rod youre talking about... I had to make one and could get it to work by pulling on it through a hole in the the floor before the motor quit
well you nailed it.... all of the above.... the motor is a 440 out of a motor home and the viechle is a 76 sportsman van don't know where to start but it some times turns ove and sometimes it doesn't just smells like burnt wires
