I'm running a vacuum pump from MP Brakes very satisfied with it. On the car now 5 years and have had no problems with it at all. Mounted the pump under the battery box, wired it to run with the key in the run position. Works good, great pedal feel, look into it. Good luck.
If you said that the carb # was a 4966S that's not a 625 cfm. That carb came off a 71 440. I would venture to say that it is a 750 cfm. Could it be to much carb
for a 318 ???
Welcome, and good luck with your new toy. Do it and do right the first time, heli-coil is the only way to go. Oh and by the way what's the number on that Carter carburetor I might be interested. Welcome.Good luck. Have fun. John
I was just thinking the same thing. Didn't know where to get mind from either. And if they get them from the same supplier, Year one has a 30% off sale every now and then, I'll be looking for that. Who else makes a good dash pad ???
