Ed at Right Stuff said he has talked to Dr Diff and they didn't have an answer. I kinda think its in the booster cantaliver assembly that is the problem. I was hoping somebody could say "just put on a ?? year booster and your problems would be solved". I will try to contact this guy myself. Thanks
Just noticed your post and maybe you answered my question. I know it sounds simple and too easy of a fix, but can I just remove the booster on a power disc/manual conversion kit, leave every thing else the same - pedal ratio, proportion valve, master cyl size - and end up with good brakes, or am...
I've been battling the brakes on my Belvedere for more than 4 months and about ready to give up and just throw an anchor out the window to stop. Bought a kit from Right Stuff for front disc, rear drum, power assist. They have never worked and the wagon is not safe to drive. I've changed the 1...
This isn't a PC car, just a fun car (I hope) to drive and enjoy. I will try the pcv valve first and that doesn't help - hydro-boost for sure as that seems to be the main reply to my question. - thanks
Brake pedal is what I think is soft. I can nail it at 10-15 miles mpr and it basically slows and stops, at 30-40, nail it , its better and can almost lock the tires in front . . . but they don't. I have a valve on the rear line to adjust. The manufacturer says 14 lbs min. and dyno says its there
I've dropped a crate 360 into a 65 Belvedere Wagon and added "The Right Stuff" disc brake conversion on the front. Motor dyno sheet says tested and ran 15.0 at 900 rpm and 20.0 1800 rpm. This is definitely enough to run brakes. BUT when I take a reading at the manifold, I was only getting 9-10...
Got a rebuilt 318 LA (82-84) complete engine that ran good but had a Extreme Energy Pro Street Comp cam. The guy had built it for a truck and it was a little wilder than I really wanted but it ran good and had about 3 hrs on the engine. I took the Comp Cam (20-226-4) cam out and slid in a Comp...
I put a 318 LA in my 65 Belvedere Wagon because I found the only two things I could find for the Poly was gas and oil. This was a new build by someone else and had a radical cam and had been ran on a test stand. I tamed the cam down with a mild comp cam and put it back together, fired it up and...
