Happy New Year to all you Motörhead's. Everyone see what the numerical date will be on New Year's Eve? How 'bout one, two, three, one, two, three! (123123)
It's amazing what shows up when you are taking a car down to "bare bones". I would be interested to know which "previous owner" lost those wrenches and didn't try to retrieve them. When I took my '69 Bee apart to do the sheet metal repairs (Everett, Wash.) after pulling up the carpet pad, I...
Just curious? Has anyone on this site ever "kicked" themselves for selling a favored Mopar? I know I sure have, several times....sometimes you still have to do it.
From my experience, one would do well to stay away from the West Coast/Washington ST. The S Bee project that I'm working on now came from Everett area. Price was right, clean car, all original, but I'm replacing a lot of sheet metal. (I didn't mention it but the S Bee had small rust holes in...
Yeah, doesn't that just gall ya'. Sometimes if you're persistent but show respect and develop a relationship they may give in...and maybe not. I've experienced the reverse happening though. People/Car guys catch me in a weaker moment and I say "what the heck, maybe he needs it worse than I...
I've recently stripped down both a '69 Coro 500 (L.A. plant) and a '69 S Bee (Lynch Rd.). Both had all three of the braces. They were shown in the Dodge parts manual.(red & white)
Nice car, looks to be in fair shape. Should look great when you're finished. In 1968, I was pumping gas at a Mobil gas station and a '67 pulled up to the pumps, when I lifted the hood, I instantly noticed that the spark plug wires went in to the center of very large valve covers. First 426...
Apart from politics, court trials and all other haywire things that are happening in our Nation right now, did anyone remember the anniversary of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald? Always an amazing story, legend, etc. Seems like I have to re-read it every year out of personal interest. I...
Ha! Fed several hundred head of cows and yearlings. Weather's been decent since the cold temps a couple of weeks ago. Ate lunch w/ my sweetheart and walked down to the shop. Warmed up the CAR on the 100yd. gong/frying pan.(It amazes me how those 5.56 rds. don't even make the pan swing.)...
Just want to thank everyone for all the helpful tips and thanks for taking the time to respond. Builder guy, you hit the nail on the head, I had a feeling that something might leach out of concrete. Live in Montana and don't drive the cars we care about much in Winter.
Okay, so what's the general feeling on new, quality tires sitting on a concrete floor for months at a time? (on a vehicle) I used to look forward to the day when I had a garage to park in, now I'm worrying about the concrete. I've used small pieces of dry cardboard under tires or plywood...
Happy "real" Memorial Day to all Mopar fans. I need info on these auto-darkening hoods...appreciate any comments. I've had a NAPA product (China)for over six years. It has been great for stick welding 1/4 and heavier steel. About a year ago I started replacing floor pans and many other parts...
Wahya...not to overshadow the problems with the u.s.p.s., but if the tool doesn't show, there's a post on this site about using a couple of 2x4's that were cross-bolted. I've used this method several times with great success and my compliments to who ever shared it, it really works great.
