This is the exact problem more or less that I’m dealing with right now. Thanks for posting a question on this issue, now I know what to do. Sending you some virtual cupcakes
I talked to transgo earlier and got alot of good info. My situation probably will vary from others but the clunk sound from 2-3 is to be expected. The reason is because when my transmission was built, they fit as many clutches in as possible attributing to the firmness. So it is basically set up...
Hello this is Eddie from San Antonio,
I know this is an old thread but I'm going through this exact same problem on my transmission in my charger. Im curious what ended up being the solution to your transmission shifting? Thanks for your response.

Thats understable. I hear your grief ,the majority of this stuff indeed does not fit and has to be in a lot of cases seriously tweeked to fit. I just got used to it. Its a speck of dirt in the world compared to the work that i put into these cars.
Lol.Your doubts are incorrect. Ive worked with plenty of aftermarket body panels. Reproductions may have a horrible fit in some cases (not amd) theyre heavier in gauge than the originals . The truth is that these cars are 50 plus years old and have been stressed and tweaked that even with nos...
That makes a lot of sense, thanks for clearing that up. Ill probably be replacing that relay then since it looks pretty coroded and seems to be original.
I dont get the stigma of something being made overseas or mexico making the final product lesser. Amd is proof of debunking that case. These cars were imperfect when the were new to begin with.
Amd makes verys nice replacement panels. I made the switch to those a while back and have saved a lot of grief since. There will still be a little nip and tuck here and there but thats pretty normal. Especially considering that they are new panels being transplanted to a 40 plus year old car...
i have perhaps a stupid question here ..(probably as ive recently made the switch to building dodge cars). My background is in bodywork and paint and welding, so mechanic is not my strength.
What is the purpose of the starter solenoid on the chargers and mopars if the starter seems to have its...
Thanks everyone! The car is an original H code 383 automatic floor shift with buckets, b5 blue and white top. I may put a black vinyl top on it. I plan on doing a mild restoration not a full blown rotisserie resto. It is in very good shape but i did pay for the condition thats for sure. Going...
The back seat is the same color as the door panels, a bright blue , i wouldn't call it dark though. Perhaps these colors fade over time and get lighter? Or the aftermarket covers are just labeled that way as dark blue?
I believe the fender tag says the interior color is b5 blue.
Ive ordered a...
Hello I'm Eddie , a new member here from Helotes, Texas. A few weeks ago I purchased a fairly clean , nearly running 69 charger and almost rust free. This is going to be a very exciting build for me as I've mostly owned chevys and fords.
I appreciate all of the rich information on this site...
ThNks for responding. Aparently theres originally one blue interior color for 69 chargers and the reproductions have it listed as a dark blue. I still have the original door panels in my charger and they dont seem dark . The color is more of a bright blue metallic color. Which is correct , dark...
