Air Compressor for HVLP Spray Gun help needed

I Hate to pile on a Zombie thread, however I see this kind of thing quite often and wanted to chime in: "It was suggested above that I use a cheap Chinese $19 spray gun from Harbor Freight... Really?? I used a $200 Iwata gun." The comment to get a touch up gun is on point. LVLP is desireable...

FOR SALE 1968 - 1970 Plymouth drip rail molding *FOR VINYL ROOF

No problem at all. Part of the trouble is, we're only measuring the opening, which neither reflects the widest inside dimension nor the amount of spring action required for the trim to stay in place. Even if you were 100% confident it was correct I'd prefer to not ship (especially to...

69 ply B body deck lid repair help

It looks solid but I guarantee the underside of the lip is thin. 'Surface rust' is usually not limited to the surface. It may need to be cut out. With that said, I would buy that trunk finish panel if you decide to buy the whole lid, and the part is not in horrible shape at all....I wouldn't...

1968 to 1970 Plymouth drip rail molding *For cars with vinyl roof. These have a paint marking inside indicating they are for a vinyl roof car. Note-They will fit too loose on cars that do not have a vinyl roof. I deleted my vinyl top and had to change these. Can attempt better pics and email...

FOR SALE 1968-1969 Plymouth lower grille support (New Goodmark)

Brand new goodmark reproduction. I was able to save my original part, so now this is available. Yours for $100. (It’s been 5 years, Believe I paid $180) Oakland County, Michigan It would probably cost more than the part itself to ship, so local sale greatly preferred/meet-up. Not...

69 ply B body deck lid repair help

Good ones that aren't bolted to a car are like hens teeth. I didn't like my trunk lid much, but the only ones I found for sale were in even worse shape for $500. So I fabricated the bottom 2&1/2 to 3 inches, welded and metal finished. Curved areas can be hand formed without special tools...

Oil leaking from distributor on to block.... what am I missing?

It could be blowby filling the inside of the housing with oil and it's dripping downward. It's fairly a common problem on units that have significant blowby. Make sure you have a functional PCV system including a breather that isn't plugged, or at least a couple good working open breathers...

Body filler options….what do you use?

I primarily used USC AG47 on the GTX and was satisfied with it, I'd use it again. My cousin gave me about 1/2 gallon of Rage Extreme, I used a little bit of it, I think it's good, but it's not 3X as good. I always try to tailor the viscosity of the filler for the job with another USC...

Air grabber/intake manifold question on 69 GTX 440

Given the comment about expense, I'd suggest just run the open screens and no ducting underneath. This will free you up to run a good street/strip intake (rpm, street dominator, torker II, TM7, etc) and an aftermarket 14" drop base air cleaner. As someone who has run multiple combinations on...

Air grabber/intake manifold question on 69 GTX 440

The reason so many cars have aftermarket hoods with a scoop, and the reason the A12 style scoop is so popular on non-A12 cars is because the stock air grabber hood doesn't allow any variance. It's not much fun to lack the room to experiment. One good intake seemingly well known to fit on a 440...
