Looking to install 4 R/T emblems on my 69' Charger. 3 are available through Classic Industries, but they do not currently have the headlight door emblem. Looking to order all from the same company if possible, which leads me to my question: Is there a difference between the tail light and...
by the way
77' Corvette has/was a great color of "Bright Yellow" in a single-stage
good luck
Budnicks,
Thank you for the detailed layout and "fill in the blanks" details. I'm not looking to ever show the car, I want a decent paint job that won't look like a case of scurvy, but looks a bit...
Sorry, my reply was deliberately flippant as I caught nothing but condescending from your "eric...eric" reply, as in "tsk...tsk..." while shaking your head. I can't imagine you'd be excited about someone replying back to you with "Bobby...Bobby", your post makes no sense". Long frustrating day...
C'mon WileE, no need to be reticent. You suggested I provide more details, and I complied. I'm on the forum asking for recommendations, no matter the source. You folks have more knowledge and skills than I do, hence my original (poorly worded) question.
Mr Klingon.... It's Erik with a k. Clarification follows: 69' Charger with 53 year old original paint in shabby shape. Entire car needs painted, exterior. Preference is single stage to keep it simpler. I'm asking what paint product you would buy, what you would stay away from, and if anyone...
Looking for recommendations. Need a gallon of custom color paint. Who would you trust or do business with either online or possible national franchise with local stores? 1st time paint job, recommendations for paint that will spray easily, be forgiving of newb mistakes, gloss up great with a...
Guilty! I am an amateur, but have learned something new every single day spent with the car. I have a bodywork tool set that I have used to straighten a number of smaller smashes, but as you allude to, the strength of the fender material there has me second guessing the hammer. The woman I...
Anybody dealt with horizontal dents to the forward edge of the front fenders? Previous owner home towed the car with a "safety bar" of some sort mounted above the bumper, dents are equivalent on right and left fenders. What is the best way to return these to true? Heat and hammer or stud weld...
Pulling windshield to gain access to entire interior and fully remove all dash components. When the windshield is ready to go back in, are there two seals that are needed or only one? Classic Industries seems to indicate that the following might both be required. One appears a custom shaped...
493 Mike, zyzzyx;
The longer I spent wire brushing in the car today the more of that crud just flaked away in chunks. I decided I'd rather know what's under there going forward, and began stripping it all out. Thanks for the sanity check.
Cleaning up interior. Floor panel sealant in places is tired, cracked, comes loose when running a shop vac over it. Other spots still appear flexible, seated, attached, in good shape and providing protection. Looking for the group consensus and/or recommendations. Keep what is still good, or...
Thank you for the reply. Thinking (and researching) ahead, once the dash is done and the windshield is ready to go back in, are there two seals that are needed or only one? Classic Industries seems to indicate that the following might both be required. One appears custom shaped and the other...
Did the mounts you ordered actually match up with the holes in the floor? Many of the reviews on the Summit website, for example, indicate that the mounts are far from being a direct bolt up fitment.....lots of hammering, smashing, grinding and head scratching required.
That is one of the reasons I was looking at the XL variant of this seat...it's got 2 extra inches in the hip pocket for folks like me with a little more *** than I had in high school.
