    GM 4L80E swap into a 1968 GTX Resto-Mod

    Sorry if I missed this answer via searching. I am considering the same trans (4L60E) for my 64 Savoy. Could you tell me how a speedometer was implemented. I do not believe this trans has a cable mount and is only electronic output for speed.

    Tremec bolt in 5 speed (true or false)

    I installed a Keisler Tremec TKO 600 in my 64 Savoy and only cut the shifter hole in the tunnel. The tail shaft housing is very tight to the torsion bar mount and could use some massaging. I now planning to go to a automatic. Looking at a 4l60E.
