Wish I had the budget for a complete wire system redo, but I don't. Looking for a good source for quality wire, the is OEM color coded, such as Black with White tracer, Yellow with Black tracer...
Working in uncharted areas with the Dash out of the 63 Sport Fury as she goes in for paint. All original wiring, except for that STUPID alarm system I had installed. Thinking or re-wiring, or at least replacing connectors/terminals at the Bulk Head. Any words or wisdom? Which way, or how to go...
Did some looking to see if there was a list of salvage/wreaking yards on this forums. I know of Desert Valley in Arizona, but looking for some hopeful other options.
Hunting for rear quarter fenders (fender lips) for a 63 Sport Fury, 2 door. DVAP has me on their hunting list, but no reply yet.
We are now on Paint Project number 3. My Dad had the 63 Sport Fury painted WW-1, White. But at a show I was told that the white is more of a 68 Chrysler White--and very white it was. On the second time around I decided to go with TCP, and paid the extra for the color matching according to the...
OK, 63 Sport Fury with power steering. Just installed a new firm feel steering gear, and rebuilt the power steering pump. I'm getting a vibration that is felt on the steering wheel, and especially during turning the car to the left or the right.
I had this going on prior to the new steering...
I'm still working this out. So I was reading and on the Head, by the intake is a spare bolt hole, and I read that this can be used for the battery ground. I was using the front left Intake Bolt, which also holds the return spring bracket. Well, some time ago I did the ol' silicone on the Intake...
I never finished up this story! So, I tried every trick I could find. From spraying water to using propane gas,,,and nothing. Same High Pitch whistling when it reached operating temps. So, I went back to square one with a Stethoscope and touching everything around the intake manifold, then I...
You are correct, not the down leg style, but generally the 3310-2 does not have the secondary metering block, or some do? or was this a Modification? Is it possible that some where along the line the main body got swapped out? Or does the main body and throttle body need to be of the same type...
Hola!
I think I have a 3310. The Choke horns were milled off so I don't have the exact ID #'s. On the main body, passenger side I have 6R2762
Front Metering block #5271
Rear Metering block #4519
I think I have a possible Vacuum leak somewhere, so if a rebuild kit is needed I want to make sure I...
Thinking of getting a sway bar kit for my 63 Sport Fury. So far I'm only finding kits for 64's and up for the B-Body's. Is there really that much of a difference? Anyone else make this upgrade?
Thanks!
Idles and runs just fine. I found that if I disconnect the Vacuum advance, the whistling stops until I rev the motor. Then the whistle will return then stop when the motor idles down. The Carb was rebuilt about 2 years ago, but I'm going to clean it up and try a new gasket.
Yes, I'm sure it's a Vacuum leak, but having a hek of a time finding it. I've done the spraying of a water bottle (with water) and nothing as far as changes in the idle. You only seem to hear this whistling when the motor is nice and hot, thus I don't feel comfortable spraying with Brake...
I finally got around to checking all the grounds at both Stock style and electronic ign. volt regulators. I also used a Volt Meter to check everything and I have 15.3 coming out of the Alt. and at the Starter relay, bulk head, and battery I show 14.5-14.8. (running at 2000 rpm) Is that still too...
