7 months previous I just graduated from University of Illinois. Landed my first full time job working in a quality control lab straight midnight shift 10pm to 6 am. Relieving shift could not make it in so I worked another 8 to cover. Can remember it very well. '77-'78 was no prize either.
My experience with my '71 charger is that the glass clips are the same. However, the roof drip rail molding may be different due to the change in thickness because of the vinyl top being folded over the rail (or not). May have to consult the assembly manual.
On my '71 charger: front 255/60-15 on 15X8, Rear 275/60-15 on 15X8. I have manual steer so at crawling speeds it can be harder to steer. Increase speed slightly and no issue.
Helps a bit with weight. Also have AL heads, intake, water pump. It is a 528 (4.15 X 4.5). Total weight with me, full tank, dana 60 and spare tire is 4100 lbs. '71 charger.
I've been using my Bayite BYT-VAM-036 digital volt/hall effect ammeter for 1 year now and I have been able to get a lot of good information from it. Accuracy is +/- 1% and indicates direction of current flow so could be used in place of /in addition to factory ammeter. Nice feature is the hall...
My '71 SE was built in L.A. March 1971. It was sold to someone in San Francisco. It is an N code 383 HP dual exhaust N41, and had turn down exhaust. Which means no cut outs in the rear valance. N97
